Nexon Game Card (formerly known as Karma Koin) is a prepaid game card that could be used as an alternative to credit cards when shopping for games, making in-game purchases, or gifted as a gift card; It is accepted by over 15 game publishers and can be used as a gift card.

The purpose of rebranding “Karma Koin” to “Nexon Game Card” was to improve Nexon’s prepaid game card visibility and recognition in stores. Additionally, this rebranding effort allowed us to update the design to align with Nexon’s brand standards, including design elements, colors, and fonts.

[Drop-down] Manage Cards > Check Balance / Combine Cards

SOLUTION:

Drop-down menus in navigation bars should be prioritized. Users naturally categorize elements and it is easier to process information when it’s organized.

“WHERE TO BUY” —> The purpose of this part of the site was to let users know which stores held Game Cards therefore the term should be “STORE LOCATOR”
“WHERE TO USE” —> The purpose of this part of the site was to let users know which games accepted Game Cards therefore the term should be “ELIGIBLE GAMES”
“CHECK BALANCE” and “COMBINE CARDS” —> Both of these revolve around the Game Card itself: the amount of money/balance in the card and the ability to combine the balance of 2 or more cards. Combining the two into a category drop-down called “MANAGE CARDS” and then subcategories in the drop-down of “CHECK BALANCE” and “COMBINE CARDS” makes it more efficient for users

PROBLEM:

The navigation bar should be a quick way for users to find what they need. It’s important to categorize and subcategorize elements of a website in a navigation bar.

Although straight forward, the terms “WHERE TO BUY” and “WHERE TO USE” are not terms that are typically used for navigation bars.

“CHECK BALANCE” and “COMBINE CARDS” can be categorized into one drop-down

NOTE: “BUSINESS INQUIRIES” font size and color also does not match the other text.
